Have been on a number of occasions with no problems but today was really poor. Waited over 50 minutes for a toastie and hot sausages roll, which was bad enough, but sausage roll was badly burnt round edges, and if you have 'we are working with limited staff' permanently typed on the menu, that shows poor management. And if there is going to be such a long wait for food why bring the drinks out 35 minutes earlier!less

It's very nice but so expensive how on earth can they justify £8.95 for a corned beef toastie or a baked potato. I'm a pensioner and this is the most expensive cafe I've been to and I've been to a lot. It's a shame the prices are so high.less

A lovely unplanned afternoon out when daughter went out with boyfriend, we remembered how lovely this place was and we could pick up some freshly baked goods for picky tea Ordered steak pie and chips with gravy and my wife ordered Mac N Cheese with bacon pie and salad after 20 mins announced no steak pie but swapped for mince The pies were great and some of the nicest pastry we have tasted fresh local produce and hand cut chips to die for Followed up with black Forrest gateaux and a peach Melba again baked on site absolutely Devine a lovely afternoon looking forward to all the goodies for our picky tealess

Lovley beef sandwich with bone chips was lush bit expensive went to have look at the butchers counter tho the lady with blonde hair was rude only too look up at her when she ask me what I wanted I said politely just looking see they have gave me such dirty look though was there any need ????less
This cafe has great potential and the food is very nice as are the bakery items albeit expensive. I asked for toast recently which was 2 slices of normal white bread with butter & was charged £4.50!! The system they use when taking orders doesn’t work very well most of the time. They ask for your table number and then when your order comes it belongs to another table? on some occasions they have delivered our food & then realised it was for another table & then removed it from us and delivered to another table? Not good ???? the food could have been touched! Please sort out your method of ordering to make it work neater & smarter this would help cut down on waiting times. One other improvement they need to do is not delivering your hot drinks until your food order is ready to be brought to the table, they should arrive together? Always you have finished your pot of tea then 15 mins later your bacon roll arrives! It’s not hard guys to put in place a system that works & is fit for purpose.less
